lately...

well, it's been a while. i knew i wouldn't be able to post regularly.

i can't believe it's december already. only 2 more days of class, 3 finals... and the fall 2008 semester will be over. it's gone by ridiculously fast.

so many things happening in life right now.

Christmas: decorating, shopping, gift wrapping, baking, music... mmm. i love this time of year.
sara put up the Christmas tree like 2 weeks BEFORE thanksgiving. love it.

rick leaves for thailand next month. he'll be gone 5 MONTHS. and the day before he gets back... i leave to study abroad in italy and greece for a month. that means 6 months of separation... oh man. that will be hard. he's my best friend.
his step mom is also going to have a baby around the time he leaves. they decided not to find out whether it was a girl or a boy - it's killing me! i hope rick gets a brother. he has 5 sisters, no brothers. we will love whichever though.

we were informed right before thanksgiving that it probably won't be much longer before my grandma passes away. she's 93 and probably the most joy-filled lady you will ever meet. she is a fighter and never complains, despite the fact that she has diabetes, a pacemaker, cancer, numerous other health issues, and feels lonely. i admire her so much. the doctor said that she's suffered enough, and although she's had 2 blood transfusions recently, her count has dropped again. she's been saying for a while now that she is ready to go home whenever the Lord decides to take her. please pray for my family. especially my dad.

i am LOVING the fall! it's my favorite. i seriously cannot get enough of all of the beautiful colors. trees, leaves... the red ones are the best.
